Ukraine refugee support from the Archdiocese

With the ongoing war in Ukraine, many people are wanting to help refugees by offering accommodation in their own homes.

The Archdiocese of Birmingham and Caritas Archdiocese of Birmingham have asked Father Hudson’s Care to work with Ukrainian communities to co-ordinate such offers of help, working alongside matching agencies, local councils and CSAN. This is so that we can put in place a welcome that will be so important to the individuals and families in this tragic situation.

Visit www.birminghamdiocese.org.uk/Listing/Category/ukraine for information about our response and what you can do to help.

If you wish to offer accommodation, please contact Father Hudson’s on 01675 434000 between the hours of 8:30 – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 – 4:30pm on Friday.

Or, within or outside of these hours, please email Maria Gallagher on [email protected], providing a phone number that you can be contacted on.

Alternatively you can ring, text or WhatsApp 07966 935533 outside of these hours. Please leave a voicemail and number if unanswered.

Our Archdiocese has welcomed refugees, asylum seekers and migrants for over 30 years and continues to do so. Read more about existing work with BrushstrokesSt Chad’s SanctuaryFatima HouseSophia House, and Community Sponsorship schemes.
