Tabor House volunteer open evening, March 2019
20th March 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Can you help Tabor House support people experiencing homelessness?
Tabor House supports people experiencing homelessness. Through thoughtful, patient and individualised support, volunteers work with guests to turn their lives around and take steps towards more permanent accommodation.
They now need volunteers to help them continue this crucial work. Can you help?
They are particularly looking for mentors and people who can volunteer overnight. To find out more, simply come along to the open evening.
Wednesday 20 March 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00pm
St Anne’s Training Room,
96 Bradford Street,
Birmingham
B12 0PY
Since opening in September 2017, Tabor House has supported ten people to move into their own accommodation. Even more people have been supported to move back in with families or shared living arrangements. Volunteers assist guests with finding training, managing debt, building their employment skills – whatever they need to turn their lives around.
Tabor House is part of iShelter – a new homelessness organisation that helps homeless people turn their lives around. To find out more, visit www.ishelter.org.uk.
