Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity takes place from Thursday 18 to Thursday 25 January.

Resources

This year’s theme is ‘That all may be free’ and resources have been produced by Caribbean Christians. The resources look at some of the issues faced by churches of the Caribbean, including human rights abuses, debt, trafficking, modern day slavery, and domestic abuse. They include prayers and reflections, as well as a ‘go and do’ section with information on how people can give practical help.

Services and celebration

In conjunction with the Week of Prayer, members of Churches Together are holding joint services as follows:

• 2.00pm on Saturday 20 January at Uttoxeter Methodist Church
• 6.30pm on Sunday 21 January at St Chad’s Anglican Church, Lichfield
• 6.30pm on Sunday 21 January at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Newcastle-under-Lyme
